OK I believe there is such a thing as Global Warming. The weather this last week has been nuts. I mean it's dam near December, and we've been in the High 60's all week long. Is this a good thing? Well, I don't know. I guess it depends on who you ask. Ask some kid who only has a 4/3 and he'll tell you YES. Ask some environmentalist and they'll tell you HELL NO! Me? I don't know. I guess I don't mind it for the time being. However, I think the downside is, the Summers could be brutally hot. And, if it's ridiculously hot, and there's No surf. Well, I don't like that scenario. Meanwhile, enjoy the unseasonably warm weather.

Hope you all got some of that fun surf we had this week. Seems like November has been pretty fun so far. Got the Big Turkey Day coming up on Thursday. Thanksgiving. How many of you have missed a Big Thanksgiving dinner because of surf?

Lord knows I have.

I know a lot of you older surfers can relate to this. You younger dudes at some point in your lives, are gonna be faced with that dilemma. Mom's Turkey dinner, or head high surf? Grandma's Big Home Cooked Turkey dinner and all the fixings, or some Overhead Pointbreak firing down the line?

Oh man. I've ruined more Holidays and other family gatherings than I care to remember because of this thing. Surfing. It's almost like a curse.

My late father would look over at me, as I tried to slip into some family event without being noticed, and just shake his head. "Surfing." He'd say. I'd just sheepishly shake my head "Yea". But, he was the one who turned me onto Surfing in the first place. Now the full circle is here. My own son is obsessed with it. And I've already seen the writing on the wall (No Not THE Wall) although The Wall, is where he surfs the most. No, I'm talking about other missed events, and areas of importance that has been replaced by surfing. See, it is almost like a curse. Cause now it's coming back to haunt me.

Dam Surfing!

Seriously, I do hope you all have a Nice, Safe and Happy Thanksgiving. Hope you get to spend it with close family members and friends. We all have so much to be thankful for. I mean, it's easy to see why you should live each and every day to the fullest. There is much suffering in this world. Both here at home, and abroad. Be Thankful for all that you have. And if there's surf on Thursday. Try and get it early, so you can be home in time for that special meal your Mom, or Grandmother has worked so hard, to prepare.

Besides there's always going to be another swell. You may not get to spend another Thanksgiving with your Grandparents.

Be Thankful and Be Good This Thanksgiving.

The Pats play the Packers today. I don't know what to say or think about this game. They could and should win. Just like last week. They should of beaten the JETS. They should of Beaten the COLTS. They did not. They...are making me crazy again. Hey the Bruins are winning and the Celts won a game last night! All right! But, this is Football season. We want Pigskin victories. We want our Patriots to WIN the AFC East and then continue on deep into the Play-Offs. Is that too much to ask for? Lord? Or whatever Football God is is watching over us. Can ya help a brother out Lord?

OK I went and saw BORAT last week. My wife and I went with some close friends and had ourselves a good ole BORAT time. Yes it's funny. But, it's also very uncomfortable. He has made a living out of duping people. And apparently, he's making himself one hell of a prosperous living these last 2 weeks, by having the number 1 movie in the country. I know that's pissing a lot of Rednecks off. As well as some Jews and Muslims. Look, you have to have a sense of humor in this world. If you don't, why bother breathing in this precious air of ours? Lighten up and laugh. It's a comedy. BORAT is NOT real.

OJ Simpson is real. I mean, have you heard about what this bonehead is doing? He's basically telling us all, that he DID in fact, Kill his ex-wife Nicole and her friend Ron Goldman. This guy is one twisted freaking cookie. He's insane. Or is it us, who've lost our own minds?

Sometimes I am absolutely blown away by what I read in the papers and what I see on TV. I mean is it just me? Or do some of you other New England Surfers see what I see? OJ SIMPSON IS INSANE and Should be LOCKED UP For Good.

Orenthal J. Simpson, you are One Nutty Sports figure.

Hey there's good news to report. No One got ripped off this weekend. No boards stolen. No cash or gifts stolen. No Cars stolen. Nothing that I know of anyway. Thank you criminal brains for not activating your criminal electrodes and making yourselves go crazy by stealing from poor surfers. We appreciate it.

I did hear that some Surfer had to leave the Wall Saturday in a stretcher. My son said he was the victim of a stroke or some other type of seizure. I hope none of that is true. But to whoever you are, we're all praying for you to have a quick and speedy recovery. CLICK HERE FOR THE REAL AMAZING STORY.

Our thoughts and prayers are still with John Bocko this week and also with JG. Keep the faith boys. Try and enjoy this Thanksgiving the best you can. Make the best out of these bumps in the road.

My New Movie NORTH BY NORTHEAST coming out the weekend after Thanksgiving. NO INTERVIEWS. NO COMEDY SKITS. Just a full Throttle Hard Core Surf flick shot from October (Hurricane Wilma) 2005 Thru Last Week's November 10, 2006 V-Day Swell.

Remember my friends...Surfing heals all wounds....
Pray for Surf. Pray for Peace. Surf For Fun.

Yesterday 1970 Neddie in his prime.
Neddie was quite character. He also had the the most unique surf style too. Check out that board!
Another Paul Lindstrom photo. Don't know where Paul is finding these Gems, but PLEASE keep
them coming. Wish some of you other Older Surfers would send me a few older shots. If you're sitting
on something that would fit this format PLEASE send it off. No wider than 650 pixels. Or get me the photo
and I'll scan it for you. Just get me the dam photos. Please.

Today 2006 Last Week on The West Coast
These photos came in from the Phantom. It was a long boat ride to these little nuggets. The Phantom is a
funny guy. He's forever calling our waves back here in NE small. What are ya calling these?
Looks like fun small waves to me.

Parting Shot -West Coast's Smallest Wave.
My good friend and fellow surfer Charlie Daly sent this photo in of a wave he's saying is ONLY 8" high.
That's ankle high. Clearly Charlie was laying down for this unique perspective. Cool shot Charlie, but
very deceiving.
