November 2nd, 2008 The Week That Will Change The World...

Don't know how many of you actually counted the number of photos I posted last week, but to save you time, it was 135. Come on people. One Hundred and Thirty Five photos! That's insane. And it was 135 photos of one week's time in New England. That's nuts too!

That has got to be some kind of Ralph's Pic Of The Week record. On both counts. The sheer number alone, and the fact that it all went down, from Monday October 20th, to Sunday October 26th!

That was an amazing run of surf and photos. And not to reiterate my recent comments of October being my favorite month and all, but people. Let's be straight here. October Rocks! It's the best month of the year by far. To quote my favorite all time Rock Station WBCN it's ROCKTOBER!

I'm gonna miss her.

Now, I am assuming that you all have High Speed Internet connections at home and at work. Please don't tell me, that some of you, are still using dial up. People please...Please don't tell me that. Cuz if you do, I'm gonna have to bitch slap you. I have to.

I have no choice.

I can't allow my readers to be living in the dark ages. So, if I find out you're still on dial up, and I slap you across your lips, you can thank me for it later in life. And I will simply say. "Hey, don't mention it brother. It's the least I can do for your sorry dial up ass. "

Seriously. Hi speed is NOT that much more than dial up. Besides, think of all the time and less stress you will be saving. My God, the thought of downloading that many photos, plus a video clip from this site, on dial up, would cause anyone to flip out and lose it. Get Hi Speed today. In fact, do it right now.

If you really are on dial up, you are not dialed in.

It's not like this site is gonna change anytime to soon. It is what it is. Chock full of great photos, and a video clip each week. Upwards of 50 to 100 photos every week. Don't pull your hair out waiting for the shit to download on dial up.

Don't do that to yourself.

Don't do it to me.

Lil Ralphie can't do his mojo, if he thinks you guys are dying a slow, and painful, dial up death. Step up into the 21st century my brothers and sisters. Death to the Dial Up. Hail to HiSpeed. Get it my friends. Get it on Now! DSL or Comcast. Take your pick. Just get it installed today, and check out what you've been missing.

Now back at the issue at hand. Surfing. I don't suppose a great many of you got it on Monday? But, if you were one of the lucky ones who scored that day, well you know what I'm talking about. Was it as good as Sunday? No. But it sure was less crowded. I got out for about an hour. It was sunny and still very warm. I surfed a break that seemed to hold the tide better than other spots. I surfed with some friends, and some strangers. Only my friends dropped in on me.

Why is that always the case?

At one point, we heard a low rumbling off in the distance. When we all looked up, we saw that about 6-8 USMC or USN helicopters were flying along the coastline.

They were CH-53's or Sea Stallions. I don't know where they were heading, or why they were all flying in formation. But none the less, it was impressive. I've flown in enough of those babies back in the day. But it was funny surfing fun waves, with these loud war machines overhead. When worlds collide.

The session was fun until the subject of politics came up.

And as much as I have been trying to avoid talking about politics and more importantly, the presidential election in this weekly blog, I guess, it's do or die time today. Because come Tuesday, it's all over, but the counting of votes.

I do hope you all vote.

Please don't tell me you are not registered to vote. You can't very well complain about our world if you are not registered to vote. And please don't tell me, your vote does not matter.

That it's only one vote.

Because my brothers and sisters...I will have to resort, once again, to Bitch Slapping those flapping lips, that spew such silliness if I hear that BS. Your parents didn't raise you to be a dumb ass in society. Did they?

Your teachers and professors didn't teach you the importance of the election process for nothing did they? Hundreds of thousands of Americans have died for your right to vote. You need to vote, because of that fact alone. You owe it to them.

Your vote counts.

Every freaking vote counts...unless of course, we're talking about the ACORN gang...but even some of them count. You need to Vote. There's so much at stake. Even if you Vote for who I consider to be the Wrong guy. Just do it.

VOTE on TUESDAY November 4th.

Now I know, the next section of my column, is going to ruffle a few feathers. I know this, and yet, I have no intention of masking, or shying away, from this next subject. I do this because, well, I do it because, if you look at the top of the page, it clearly says...

"Ralph's Pic Of the Week." That would be me. I am Ralph.

I write this shit every week, and I post these photos and write the captions. And I shoot 99% of all the video as well. It's my column.

I am a writer of subject matters, that directly, or indirectly affects surfers here in New England. But to clarify this week's column. This is my opinion. It is how I feel. Not anyone else. It's NOT Dave Cropper and or anyone else at CINNAMON RAINBOWS. It's me. And like I've said a million times before...if you don't like what I write-don't read it. Just look at the photos.

I am the Ralph that Roared.

OK...so I know you all want to know. Who am I Voting for? Well there should be no surprise here. I'm voting, with my heart and soul, for the candidate who I feel is better qualified to lead our country, during these very troubling times.

I'm Voting for John McCain .

We are at War. We are in a financial meltdown. The War is never going to go away. Even if we find and kill Osama Bin Liden. There are plenty more Al Qeada leaders who will step up to attack Americans both here at home, and abroad.
That's the truth.
Killing the bogeyman will not stop the nightmare of Al Qeada, or the rest of the Radical Islamic Muslim Terrorists from wanting to destroy our way of life.

Clearly, we can all agree on that.

But just in case we don't. Stop reading here and skip to the photos of surfing. If you don't know this (above), I can't relate to you. And you wouldn't "get" anything else, I'm about to write. No, it's better that you skip to the pretty photos, and continue to live in your make believe world.

But if you agree with me...then read on.

Some of the ironies that have escaped most Americans is this simple fact. They (Terrorists) refer to us (Americans) as the Great Satan. And the irony of all ironies is, they hate and despise the liberal way of thinking way more than the conservative lifestyle. In other words my friends, they hate: Gays, premarital sex, drugs, Hollywood, etc etc etc. Including Surfing. In short, they hate any kind of liberal thinking. Lifestyles that we take for granted, they look at as, the ultimate sin against their religious beliefs. Their religious beliefs. Not ours.

It's their way, or the highway. (Usually laden with IED's.)

And they have, the conviction, and the absolute commitment to carry this crusade on. Until the end of time. If that's what it takes. We need a leader, who can face that challenge with the same conviction and commitment. A proven leader. Someone who has been tested. Someone with the wisdom and experience of worldly issues, and who has worked on both sides of the political aisle.

Someone who hates war.

But someone who understands the complexities of war. So that if we were to commit Americans into a War Zone, we are doing so, as the last resort, and that we are to enter into combat with one goal in mind. To Win. To end the war, or conflict, in Victory. And when I speak of Victory, I am not only thinking of America, I am clearly speaking on behalf of those people who live in those war torn countries. Those human beings we are defending and fighting for. Their very freedom, and their right to Vote, and live out their lives in peace in a free and democratic society. For them and the future of their children and grandchildren.

Because, it is imperative for ALL world peace for America to be victorious in war and in peace. America is winning the battle of IRAQ. We're winning because of the SURGE. The Same Surge that many Republicans and almost every single Democrat said would not work. McCain said it would. He even said, "that he would rather lose an election than lose a war".

Obama went as far to say, "that not only would the surge not work, but it would fail miserably and be worst than before". He was wrong. Yet, he can't look America in the eye and say he was wrong and McCain was right. He can't do it. This is the guy who would be Commander in Chief to all of our troops? Please.

And make no mistake about it, the Radical Islamic Extremists only respect those who are willing to fight for their beliefs. Again, this is the world we live in. If left unchecked, our nation's enemies would unleash a thousand 9-11's on our society every day.

This is the world we live in. That's why I'm Voting for McCain .

And as far as the recent economic collapse. The finger pointing should go all around. Both the Dems and the GOP. But clearly the biggest culprits are one Barney Frank and Chris Dowd. These two boneheads allowed the Freddie Mac and Fannie May loans to continue without check. They allowed this to happen and now we are in a financial firestorm. McCain tried to stop all of this back in 2003. Obama knows this. I just saw on the news, that Barack's tax plan for all of those who make under $250,000 annually to be safe from any new tax, just got changed from $250,000, to $200,000, to $150,000, to $120,000 pr year. Are you seeing a pattern here? Can you say TAX and SPEND?

I'm Voting for John McCain .

Barack Hussein Obama. I do not trust him. I do not believe a word he says. I find it hard to believe, that he sat in a church for 20 years with a preacher (Reverend Wright) who preached hatred and disdain towards whites, and Barack did not hear any of it? And this, after he claims that Reverend Wright was his mentor? Huh? Or how about his wonderful endorsement from Mr Nice guy himself, Louis Farrakhan from the Nation of Islam.

I find it hard to believe, that he knowingly sat on a board with a known Terrorist Bill Ayers, and was seen, several times with him and think nothing of it. But to hear Barack reply..."I was 8 years old when Ayers committed this crime." OK, but you were not 8yrs old when you announced your campaign with him standing by your side. And you were not 8yrs old when you sat on a board with him.

Or, when you were with him in 2003 during the celebration for the Radical PLO leader Rashid Khalidi who supports Hamas and the destruction of Israel. And Bill Ayers wife who was once on the FBI most wanted list was friends with Michelle Obama, who also penned the famous line..."For the First Time in My Adult Life I am finally proud of my country!" Look, if anyone one of these associations were aligned with McCain, the press and media would Crucify him. You know that..

They would absolutely destroy him.

Look, I have not drunk the Obama Kool Aid. Unlike some of you. Some of you didn't just drink the Obama Kool Aid. You took a bath in that shit. You showered in it. You got drunk on it. And if you could, you'd surf in an ocean full of it. Sometimes, I feel like one of those survivors at Jonestown Guyana where those poor souls drank the Kool Aid from Jim Jones. And I'm left yelling to everyone "No no don't drink that shit! Spit it out!"

I swear some of the Obamamaniacs are that taken by this guy. I mean, I like McCain but I don't want to sleep with the guy. I don't see Obama as the chosen one, with his false claim of Hope and Change. I'm not buying into it. I see Barack Hussein Obama for exactly what he is. A lying politician with an agenda that will set this country back to the days of Jimmy Carter. And I say all of this, knowing damn well, that when we all wake up on Wednesday morning, Barack Hussein Obama could very well be our next president.
God Help us all.

And I will be, one of those losers you see driving around. What loser is that? The guys with the KERRY EDWARDS bumper stickers on their vehicles. You've seen them. Like some badge of redemption stuck on their vehicle. That will be me. A total freaking loser. Unless America wakes up, and sees the truth behind Obama, and votes for McCain. I'm Voting for McCain .

McCain has worked with both Democrats and Republicans. Obama has not. In fact he voted "present" 129 times in the senate. Not Yes. Not Nay. Present. McCain is NOT George W. Bush. McCain is NOT BUSH. John McCain is a TRUE REFORMER who will bring REAL change and REAL Hope with REAL Experience. And that is why...
I'm Voting for John McCain
.

Rest in peace John Ripley USMC Medal of Honor Vietnam. Go Patriots! Get out and VOTE on Nov. 4th.
